Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actress as well as a producer, director, educator, playwright and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna can recall some of her first memories of her childhood, like watching her mom work at play rehearsals. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials while she was young. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its initial years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in November 1999 and moved to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met at an actor'sWorkshop held in Los Angeles. After getting engaged in 2008, the couple got married in the year 2009. The couple renewed their vows the 10th of April in Fredericton at a Jewish ceremony following her conversion to Jewish.
